Suspension policy

Students may suspend their studies on a course for a period of one academic year. If you find yourself in a position where you need to suspend your studies there are a number of things that you must do:

  • discuss your suspension from studies and gain approval from your Course Leader;
  • inform the Course Leader of the decision in writing and submit your completed Suspension of Studies form

You need to make sure you are aware of any financial implications your decision might have and bear in mind the maximum periods of registration for the course.

A student may be suspended by the Education Committee if they do not attain the academic requirements of the course or if there are questions raised about their fitness to practice due to ethical or health concerns. The student will be suspended while an investigation by either the Education Committee or Fitness to Practice Committee takes place.
