Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine

Intensive 3-year part-time course leading to an accredited qualification in CHM

Diploma in CHM

This is our flagship diploma course that attracts students from around the world. The course leads suitably qualified students on the pathway to becoming a clinically competent and confident Chinese herbal medicine practitioner.

Our 3 year course covers herbs, formulae and 18 months of weekly supervised clinical practise and is accredited by the European Herbal & Traditional Medicine Practitioners Association (EHTPA). Notable benefits of qualifying from an accredited course include wider recognition of your qualification and eligibility for membership of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM), as well as eligibility for appropriate insurance cover.

Our diploma course in Chinese herbal medicine takes 3 years to complete. We have assembled a first class team of highly experienced practitioners, lecturers and experts, many of whom hold PhD's in different aspects of Chinese medicine and other related specialities. This means each teaching session is delivered by a subject matter expert.

We strongly recommend that you read this article "How long does it take to grow a herbalist?", in which Andrew Flower discusses the course and explains how it differs from some of the shorter courses out there.

You will find extensive documentation about this course including prospectus, syllabus and fees on our Resources page.
